3 Costly Hair Loss Mistakes Black Men Make

These three poor decisions could be costing you your hair.

Hey my Fellow Follicle Frontiersmen! In this video, I share three hair loss mistakes I used to make when I started losing my hair that either directly or indirectly contributed to accelerated hair loss. These three things are easily avoided and knowing about them could have saved me a lot of time, money, and heartache.

Getting a razor line up could be making your receding hairline worse. Each time your barber cuts into your skin with the razor, it’s damaging the hair follicle, and repeated exposure can damage it beyond repair.

Wearing hats everyday for hour each day could be accelerating your hair loss as well. The increased scalp tension has been shown in a research study to make hair loss worse.

Waiting too long to take action and do something about your hair loss is the biggest mistake a guy can make when it comes to saving his hair. Early intervention with drugs like minoxidil and finasteride, stimulating collagen production at the scalp through dermarolling, and limiting the harmful chemicals that you expose your hair and scalp to like sulfates and parabens are simple, easy, and effective steps you can take toward slowing or stopping hair loss.
